Happy New Year!

A Happy New Year! Well, it’s been quite a festive period and I hope you all had a fantastic time. However, like all things, the holidays have come to an end, but I’m still buzzing because when one door closes, another one opens. It’s such a lovely feeling to write a blog on the first day of the year. At first, I wrote for me. I didn’t have an audience in mind. I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t even think I’d publish my scribbles. All I had was the passion to tell a story, tell it well, and see it to the end. I wrote stories I wanted to read. But as time went on and my stories became...

Beauties and Beasts of Writing a Series

Series writing has its own beauties and beasts. There’s a consensus that one should not invest her eggs in one basket. And yes, I’d be a fool not to heed this advice. So, every time I sit down to plot a series, I ask myself at least a dozen questions that centres around one fundamental question. Shall I write a three/four or even five book series or simply write a standalone book? Writing a series is usually my first choice, but not too soon after, the beasts start reeling...
